The tourist tax must be added to the price
1. The following guests are exempt from paying the tourist tax:
a) Children up to 12 years of age;
b) Individuals assisting patients hospitalized in healthcare facilities within the municipal area
(one companion per patient, two companions if the patient is a minor). This exemption is subject to the submission
of a declaration to the property manager, in accordance with Articles 46 and 47 of Presidential Decree 445/2000 and subsequent amendments,
containing the personal details of the companions and the patient, the estimated duration and period of medical treatment or hospitalization,
and the reason for the stay, which must consist of assistance to the patient;
c) Persons with disabilities, whose condition is evident or certified, and their companion;
d) Members of the Local Police and Fire Brigade staying overnight for service reasons and, more generally,
persons accommodated in hospitality facilities as a result of measures adopted by public authorities
to deal with emergency situations resulting from natural disasters, extraordinary events, or humanitarian relief purposes;
e) Two persons for each group organized by a travel agency or tour operator consisting of 20 (twenty) or more people
(driver and/or tour leader);
f) Employees of the accommodation facility management carrying out work activities on site;
g) Students staying in accommodation facilities for study purposes, certified by their educational institution;
h) Free overnight stays;
i) Employees of companies carrying out public or private works throughout the provincial territory,
provided that the stay is strictly connected and functional to the execution of such works.
For this purpose, the accommodation manager is required to acquire a declaration, also cumulative,
from the company indicating its tax details, the nature, period, and location of the works,
the client’s details (which may be omitted if private),
and the full personal details, ID document, and tax code of the workers requiring accommodation.
2. A 50% reduction of the tourist tax may be requested by:
- School groups from lower and upper secondary schools on educational trips, upon certification by the School Principal;
- Athletes under the age of 16, members of sports groups participating in initiatives and tournaments organized
in collaboration with the Municipal Administration, upon certification by the relevant Sports Federation.
3. The tax does not apply from the 8th day onward for stays longer than 7 consecutive days without interruption.
